OUR WONDERLAND WINS A PRIZE
On Friday 28 November, Cresta became a Wonderland as participating stores’ windows came to life. Vision participated in this annual event and is proud to announce that we came 3rd in the competition for Best Window Display.
Eoudia Nell, our Operations Managers proved her organisational skills yet again, and took the initiative of creating Charlie’s Chocolate Factory on our shop floor. With decorations such as colourful candy sticks, lollipops, flowers and mushrooms, children were swept away to the centre of this imaginary chocolate factory. We even had a make-believe chocolate river flowing to a real chocolate fountain where kids helped themselves to marshmallows dipped in dreamy chocolate! Our store quickly became a favourite for onlookers and kids passing by as John handed out sweets dressed as Grandpa Joe.
Werner came dressed as Willy Wonka himself and his daughter Ané stole hearts in her orange pumpkin outfit and the two of them charmed all the customers into having some sweet treats!
John’s boys, James and Nicholas dressed up as Charlie and the little cowboy and handed out Golden Tickets for a lucky draw at the end of the evening. One of our loyal patients, Hannelie Vorster, filled out her Golden Ticket and won a pair of Oakley Half Jacket sunglasses!
The rest of the staff were dressed up as factory workers and Tamia and Faazila looked extra special, dressed as the “Oompa Loompa’s”. We handed out enough sweets to feed all the children visiting the factory and as the fountain dried up, the workers packed their things and went home, knowing that the factory would be ready to create magic again for any anyone with an active imagination.
